About the Studio
At Two Merlin Design Studio, the goal is simple: create spaces people want to spend time in. Led by Shiloh Mackey, the studio begins with how a home is actually used—what’s working, what isn’t, and how it could feel better. From there, the design takes shape in a way that reflects the people living in it.
The result is a home that feels beautiful, but also easy and entirely your own.
Let’s work together
Shiloh Mackey
Founder & President
What sets Shiloh apart is her ability to see possibilities in a space that others miss. She looks at a home and instinctively rethinks it: opening up areas that feel closed off, adding structure where it’s needed, and reshaping how rooms connect and flow. Whether that means reworking a layout, using space more intentionally, or simply introducing the right pieces to shift how a room feels, her focus is always the same: making the space work for the people living in it.
Clients value Shiloh’s partnership approach. She’s warm, collaborative, and deeply hands-on from start to finish. Her favorite part of the design process is getting to know her clients—understanding how they move through their home, where they tend to gather, what they’re drawn to, and what isn’t quite working the way it should. She takes the time to explore and listen, bringing direction and perspective while giving clients the space to make decisions with confidence along the way.
The homes she designs feel cohesive and elevated, but also natural—comfortable to live in and aligned with the rhythms of daily life.
Based in Sleepy Hollow on Merlin Avenue, Shiloh draws inspiration from the homes and families she works with, as well as from her daughters and time spent traveling. Her spaces don’t just look good; they feel right, from the moment you walk in.
Hannah Cole
Design Director
Hannah studied at the Parsons School of Design, but grew up on a farm—a background that shaped both her creative eye and her roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic. She’s just as comfortable discussing proportion and palette as she is rolling out an oversized rug, assembling furniture on-site, or managing the pace and detail of installation day.
She’s drawn to moody rooms, unexpected spatial solutions, and renovation work that makes a home function better without adding more. Rather than defaulting to major changes, Hannah rethinks what’s already there—finding practical ways to improve how a space works.
Hannah loves gently encouraging clients to take one thoughtful risk—a deeper paint color than they first imagined, a fabric with more personality, or a style just outside their comfort zone. Those choices are often the ones homeowners end up loving most.
After living and working in New York City, Chicago, and Atlanta, Hannah now lives in Dobbs Ferry with her husband and two daughters. Outside the studio, you’ll find her immersed in the ongoing renovation of her family’s 1885 home—a hands-on project that continues to shape her appreciation for historic character and modern function—or cheering at one of her daughters’ sporting events.
