The Two Merlin story begins in 2012 on Merlin Avenue with the handing of keys from one owner to another. Turns out Shiloh and Anita shared more than the same address. An appreciation for each others’ styles and a shared passion for design was quickly realized. Complementary strengths and roles built a solid base on which to start a business. At Two Merlin, the magic is in the synergy of two creative minds and in the balance of form and function.

Shiloh and Anita are at home working in any design genre. They make it their mission to help you discover your own personal style. In her own colonial revival home, Shiloh loves to finish traditional found objects in colorful new prints. The result is modern pattern play atop a classical foundation. Anita uses a neutral backdrop as the canvas for bold art and a mix of period pieces. Some people collect handbags and shoes, she covets lighting and rugs.

Anita Suchdeo

Educated in engineering, math, and finance, Anita came into the design world as a second (or perhaps even third) career. After traveling around the country as a consultant, crunching numbers on Wall Street as a trader, and staying home with three young boys, Anita came “home” to design. What started with personal home renovations led to helping friends with their projects and organically grew into a design business. Anita carries her tape measure with her wherever she goes. She loves to spend time with her room planner software, and she geeks out on Excel. She will make sure your furniture layout is to a tee, banishing the days of the rug that isn’t quite big enough or the oversized sectional that blocks the pathway. Anita resides in Briarcliff Manor, New York. In her copious amounts of free time, she raises three active boys, reads voraciously, cooks for friends and family, and sits on the board of the Open Door Foundation.

Shiloh Mackey

Armed with degrees in psychology and communications, Shiloh launched her career as an Account Manager in advertising. After nearly 10 years, she took a break from the corporate world to focus on being a Mom. Shiloh has always been interested in creating beautiful spaces, starting with her own. She’s been known to move her furniture around on a weekly basis. Shiloh brings her magic finishing touch to every project, creating harmony in any style genre employing color, texture, depth, and her signature use of mixed metals. She will search high and low for the pièce de résistance to elevate your space to ‘Wow’. Shiloh still calls Merlin Avenue in Sleepy Hollow, New York home. A former college soccer player, she coaches her two daughters’ soccer teams on the weekends. She loves to travel and enjoys volunteering for her community by serving on the boards of Kids’ Club of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown and the Philipse Manor Beach Club.
